Cub Club
Design and decorate a panda cub as part of the Learning and Community Programme, and feature in our 2027 summer trail alongside the larger sculptures.
Limited spaces available for schools, nurseries, and community groups.
THEY’RE UN-BEAR-ABLY CUTE!
How it works
In a continually changing educational landscape, teachers and parents, schools and governors, young people and communities are increasingly becoming champions for the arts. Sculptures decorated by schools and community youth groups through our Learning and Community Programme will stand loud and proud on our Panda Meander art trail, being enjoyed by thousands of visitors.
We’re asking you to raise £750 to be part of our programme. This covers the cost of your panda, installing it on the trail, and after being on public display, your panda will be returned back to you as a permanent reminder of your young people’s achievement!
The programme will enable young people to explore their creativity as well as offering further cross-curricular activities around the panda.
Why you should get involved
Curriculum-Linked Resources
We will provide engaging educational materials that explore art, storytelling, and local history, ensuring the project is not only fun but also enriching for students.
Showcase Your Talent
Once completed, the community Bear cubs will take pride of place in the city alongside the main trail, showcasing the imagination and artistic talents of our local young people.
A Lasting Legacy
At the end of the event, your school’s sculpture will return home, leaving a permanent reminder of your involvement in this incredible project.
“Enormous impact. It has been the most talked-about project we’ve done for ages and has threaded through every layer of school life.”
